 My name is
Paul Tonetti and I grew up in Gulf
Breeze, Florida, a small town on a peninsula just three miles south of
Pensacola. I am a member of
Gulf
Breeze United Methodist Church. I first attended this church
when I was in High School, but I did not become active in the church until 1995.
In the summer of 1995 I was hired buy the church full time and two years later
they commissioned me as a missionary to Mercy Ships. In 1997 I completed a
Discipleship Training
School on board the Caribbean Mercy and then continued to
serve as the IT Systems Manager until the spring of 2001 when I moved to Garden
Valley, Texas. There I worked for the Marine Operations division of Mercy Ships
where
I would then spend summers on the Anastasis and winter on the
Caribbean Mercy. My main focus was on projects to upgrade the systems and
the safety of the ships. In between my time on the ships I was Studying
for my AB ( Able Seaman ) and Security Officer certificates which I now hold.
Then in December of 2004 I was asked to return to the Caribbean Mercy as the
Ship Security Officer. Then in June 2005 with the Caribbean Mercy going out of
service I was asked to go to the Africa Mercy to
help install security systems and then to become the Ship Security Officer.
Currently I call Pensacola Beach my home. This is where my house is
located, also known lately as hurricane alley. |

| About Mercy Ships: |
|
Mercy Ships is a Global Charity that
operates hospital ships in developing countries. The Ships are crewed by
volunteers from all over the world. Not only do I volunteer
my time to this charity, but I also pay my own way each month for my living expenses.
This allows all of the money given to Mercy Ships to go directly to those most
in need. My support

About Me: |
I have a desire to continue in my missions
work of bringing hope and healing to those in need, and know that where ever I
end up I will be involved in ministry some how. One of my favorite
countries and one in which I have some very close friends is Guatemala. It
is my desire to be there working with the homeless kids in the streets.
