Hurricane Mitch 1998

-  In this make shift school building, a survivor from the destroyed village is grateful to receive clothing from crew member Brian Jaworski.

- Child smiles when given a new toy by Mercy Ships Crew at a refugee camp.

-  Old village site of Provenir, Nicaragua, after hurricane Mitch sweeps it away.

-   Blue rag in tree approximately 12 feet up, indicates the water level where the village of Provenir was swept away, killing over 800 people.

-  Survivor sits looking at where his neighbors used to live.

-  This well installed by the Caribbean Mercy before the disaster, ends up being the only clean water in the immediate relief zone.  Being declared safe by the Ministry of Health, people come from miles around.
